Our advancements include:
- TagStation cloud-based data services power the NextRadio app, HD receivers and the connected car. Broadcasters rely on TagStation to deliver a visually-rich mobile experience to radio listeners worldwide.
- In a partnership with NAB Labs, TagStation developed the NextRadio hybrid radio smartphone app to provide a rich FM radio listening experience on smartphones and tablets by combining the devices’ built-in FM tuner and the internet.
- Dial Report is the first digital measurement report of analog radio’s usage. Agencies can use the the Dial Report to offer their clients more robust analytics and insights about radio performance, including data that is on par with digital media.
Why the name TagStation?
It comes from “song tagging.” Emmis Interactive developed TagStation in 2008 for radio listeners using FM-enabled iPods, iPhones or cars with iTunes. People had to tag a song in order to buy it from the iTunes store. And since disappointment quickly sets in when you pay money for the wrong song, we created the TagStation interface. It ensured accurate artist and title on the radio display for listeners, and gave radio stations an easy-to-use, low-cost solution for accurately managing their song tags.
